Sandscale Haws is a National Trust nature reserve on the western coast of the Furness Peninsula. It combines a large dune system with a beach that faces the sea at high tide and the River Duddon at low tide. The area is the home of a large part of the UK population of Natterjack toads.
Sandscale Haws can be reached along the road to Roanhead, six miles to the north of Barrow on the A595.
